Homemade Cookies & Cream Ice Cream:
1 cup milk
¾ cup granulated sugar
2 cups heavy cream (very cold)
2 tsp pure vanilla extract, vanilla paste, or one whole vanilla bean
1 cup coarsely chopped Oreos
Whisk together the milk and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla. Add the ingredients to the freezer bowl of your ice cream mixer. (My mixer holds 2 quarts and this batch makes a little less then 32 oz, so if you have a big enough ice cream mixer I say double that bad boy!) Let it run in the mixer for about 30 minutes. Add cup of chopped Oreos and let run for about 5 more minutes or until just combined.
