Textured Buttercream

I will never get over textured buttercream cakes! There is such a classic beauty to them that will never die, and the possibilities are endless. I love the creativity that I constantly see in other bakers. The first cake was my submission for the October challenge over at the Miso Bakes Project .  Be sure to go check out the other entries, they're all great and I have a cake crush on Miso, she is so talented at what she does!  This last cake was a sweet birthday surprise from a daughter to her mother, the famous chocolate cake with peanut butter filling.

Jungle Baby Shower cake

These little guys were so cute that I just wanted to keep em! 

Also... I may have listened to THIS song on repeat a couple dozen times while making this cake. And the volume may have been loud.  

It's a good thing my husband is patient, and loves me :)
