Nerd Sprinkles

 

I have had these Nerds since Easter.  I saved them for the sole purpose of one day using them as sprinkles for cupcakes. The time slipped away from me, yet they were always on my mind. And now, I see people using them all the time as sprinkles! Think about it, you can buy them at almost any market, they are cheap, they are bright and colorful, and most important, they are delicious! So the next time you are looking for sprinkles, consider the Nerd alternative!

For all you Harry Potter fans

Yesterday my husband and I along with a handful of friends went to an early screening of Harry Potter.

IT WAS AWESOME!!

So in honor of the last movie, I made these cookies along with some chocolate frogs, had some friends over and we munched and mingled while we caught up on the last HP movie. It was wonderful.

After making these I kept thinking of all the other fun shapes that I could have done if I had more time.

I am sure you will be seeing more Potter cookies in the future!

Missionary Farewell Cake

 I loved doing this cake! It was a last minute order but I was happy with the end result. It was for the nephew of a friend who got his mission call to ...... can you guess by the flag and map?? South Carolina! Everything is edible, even the tag! The flavor was a chocolate cake with and cookies and cream filling, one of my favorites.
